It is well known that CoachLift is the industry standard for handicap RV lifts and tractor lifts. But did you know that we also manufacture a portable handicap lift perfectly designed for use with small aircraft? Our rugged, reliable, lightweight design makes the CoachLift handicap aircraft lift the ideal solution to negotiating the steps of your airplane or jet.
For decades, corporate executives and fortune 500 CEO’s have trusted CoachLift to get them into their private jets with ease, dignity and safety. We first manufactured the CoachLift handicap lift for aircraft over two decades ago for Mr. Toyota (of Toyota Motor Corporation) and have continued to provide the same elegant solution for many traveling business people in the years since.
Our portable base rolls on 4 wheels up to the cabin door until it is positioned adjacent to the stairs. The wheels are then locked in place to prevent movement during use. The lift user sits in the chair and rides it up until their feet are clear of the stairs. They then rotate in towards the door, past the steps and onto the cabin floor. The lift is disassembled for storage in less than five minutes and stored on board or in lower storage compartments.
We will have our portable aircraft lift set up for full demonstration at the 2016 NMEDA (National Mobility Equipment Dealers Association) conference in Dallas the February, so all dealers are welcome to come take a ride and try it out. James and Tom will have it set up and ready to go at our booth. We look forward to meeting some of you in February. You can also see a video of the CoachLift aircraft lift on the airplane lift section of our website.
